DER Working Group Summer 2021 Session

June 21, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

  • « Webinar: Towards a Common Understanding of Energy System Costs
  • Webinar: Better Planning for Future DER Adoption »

The DER Working Group will hold an online session on Monday, June 21, 3:00 – 5:00 pm (eastern US). Join us to hear and discuss preliminary deliverables of the ESIG DER Working Group Task Force overseeing An Open Networks project for the U.S.: Facilitating reliable, efficient integration of DERs into the electric power system. The effort aims to develop best practices recommendations for integration of DERs into the bulk power system, along with lessons learned from the UK and Australian Open Networks efforts and ultimately a proposed multi-year roadmap to address DER integration across the US electric power system. Drawing on a variety of US and international experts from all aspects of the electricity system, the effort aims to develop recommendations to inform FERC 2222 implementation, identify key technical gaps and develop a process drawing on the lessons learned overseas to address those gaps.

Speakers:
Priya Sreedharan, GridLab Program Director, Task Force Chair
Matt McDonnell, Strategen, Project Director
Fritz Kahrl, Independent Consultant, Project Contributor
