Ross Newlin Achievement Award
This award is presented annually to a deserving member of ESIG’s O&M Users Group for their contributions in leading advancement efforts of the technical and operations sectors of the renewable energy industry.
The Ross Newlin Annual Achievement Award was created in 2012 when the board of directors named its Operations and Maintenance Annual Achievement Award after wind industry veteran, Ross Newlin. Newlin was a a long-time employee of enXco Service Corporation, now EDF Renewable Services. He helped develop and lead the Operations and Maintenance Users Group and exemplified a vision for what the energy system could be with a commitment to supporting the sharing of knowledge and providing inclusive leadership. His service to this cause unfortunately ended early when he succumbed to cancer in July 2011.
