The ESIG Mentoring Program matches early career professionals with more experienced industry colleagues to help facilitate sharing of industry experience and best practices, career tips and advice, effective use of technology and social networks, and other topics of interest. This is done either in one-on-one mentoring pairs or small coaching groups.
How it works
-
- Mentors and mentees are matched on a quarterly basis, and may determine the length of their formal relationship.
- Communications may take place as often as once a month, either electronically or (where possible) in person, but are intended more commonly as three to four conversations over the course of the year. Mentoring conversations are intended to be reciprocal, in the sense that early career and senior colleagues are interested in sharing ideas and experiences at different locations on a career spectrum. Mentors are expected to take the lead on establishing contact.
How to participate
Mentors and mentees should complete and submit this brief questionnaire. We will attempt to make appropriate matches each quarter and contact you with next steps and introduce you to your mentor, mentee or small coaching group.
