The Large Load Interconnection Performance project team produced the following four reports:
- The main report, Large Load Performance Requirements: Current Practices and Recommendations, provides guidance for system operators and utilities as they develop interconnection performance requirements for large loads tailored to their own jurisdictions.
- Large Load Disturbance Events highlights a set of recent disturbances in which large loads played a noticeable role, either as contributors to the initiating conditions or as factors exacerbating an initial disturbance and complicating a recovery.
- Large Loads: Behaviors, Capabilities, and Limitations helps power system operators and transmission owners understand how new large loads behave and how they can affect the power system’s operational security, and thus understand the risks that large loads impose on power system planning and operation.
- Reliability Impacts of Large Loads provides a comprehensive technical analysis of the reliability impacts of large loads related to dynamic stability, identifying critical vulnerabilities and proposing mitigation strategies for system planners, grid operators, and load developers to address these dynamic stability risks.
