ESIG has launched a new task force to help utilities organize and execute programs that holistically tackle the multi-faceted technical and operational challenges of integrating Inverter-Based Resources (IBRs) and large loads.
We’re seeking active utility participation to ensure this work reflects real-world barriers and best practices in the industry. We are especially interested in engagement with utility leaders who have experience with or seek to spearhead such programs and with utility front-line practitioners with technical roles with active work on these topics. Over 9-12 monthly meetings, we’ll explore Task Force members’ experience with strategic and programmatic design and deployment with the goal of producing a planning framework to guide utilities in standing up Operational Readiness programs.
