Nordex K08 Gamma series wind turbine is represented by several models of varying size and power. Each type is a three-blade, upwind, horizontal axis wind turbine. These consist of a N90/2.5 MW turbine rated for IEC Class 1a wind sites, a N100/2.5 MW turbine rated for IEC class 2a wind sites version, and a N117/2.4 MW turbine rated for IEC class 3a wind sites. All three of these turbine models are offered with a 50 Hz and a 60 Hz variant, as well as an optional cold climate package. Nordex K08 class turbines also offer dynamic power factor range between 0.95 leading and 0.95 lagging, as well as low voltage ride through functions that allow the turbine to continue operating under certain grid fault conditions. All turbines are controlled by a software program, and can be accessed world-wide by a remote monitoring network which allows complete control of all turbine parameters through a secure internet gateway.
