Implementation challenges and perspectives on FERC 2222

The release of FERC 2222 creates a pathway for participation of DERs in wholesale markets across organized markets in the U.S. This is an important development that could have implications for using DERs to increase grid flexibility and facilitating a path towards low carbon grid. Recently, a group of DER experts, led by Advanced Energy Economy and GridLab, and including participation from RTOS, DER providers and independent experts, embarked on an eLab Accelerator effort to remove barriers to DER participation in wholesale markets. They discussed principles and recommendations that could be helpful towards implementing FERC 2222. Join RTO members from MISO and ISO-NE, formerly from CAISO, and Enel North America, and AEE, for a deep and intimate discussion on FERC 2222.
